On enrolment children are allocated to one of four houses.
Students compete for their 'house' in two major events for sporting achievement. These are the interhouse swimming carnival, held at the local pool at the conclusion of term 1 and the interhouse athletics carnival, traditionally held at the conclusion of term 2.
From these interhouse competitions, students are selected from achieved results to represent the school in interschool competitions for both swimming and track and field athletics.
Students are also eligible to nominate for the interschool cross country competition.
